sets. Priced per set; one set = two halves, forming a round ball. Simply glue halves
together after filling, string wrap (optional) and paste strips of gummed kraft paper for
strength (use fiber reinforced kraft tape for superior strength). Imported - call for

FIREFOX FIRE RETARDANT, LIQUID
Our fire retardant liquid is an extremely effective and inexpensive solution for burn through and live paper ember problems during combustion of the composition. It is applied by dipping or by brush. When dry, it effectively retards heat buildup and burn through of the paper casing. A must for fountain, gerb and smoke cans or any other application where heat buildup is a problem. KRAFT PAPER END DISCS
Thick, strong kraft paper end discs for various applications. May be used inside tube or glued over the ends. Also used in casting composite and similar rocket propellants, delay and smoke grains, etc., to inhibit end grains, center coring spindles or in black powder motors to form the bulkhead and delay wells. Durable kraft paper stock may be treated with Firefox Fire Retardant for added protection against burn through such as treating discs in smoke cans so the vent does not erode. Can be "painted" on or parts may be dipped and dried.

KRAFT PAPER CAPS FOR ABOVE LISTED PAPER SHELLS
These caps fit over the ends of the paper cans (Outside Diameter of can). No ATFE required to purchase

(also fits discarded standard bathroom tissue & paper towell tubes. Free tubes to make smoke cans, 2" mines, exploding targets & cannister aerial shells)Simply plug bottom of tube with a disc cut from a cerael box or similar, using the tube as a pattern and cutting disk inside the drawn line. A drawing compass is a great way to draw perfectly round discs. Use a length of PVC pipe (or similar) that fits the inside of the tube to push the discs in. Apply glue (PVOH) inside and out, allow to dry and glue another disk in the bottom. Use plenty of glue. If making aerial shells or mines, punch a 1/4" hole in several discs glued together and glue the time fuse in place. Push it in place from the top to the bottom of tube using the PVC pipe. Glue in place and allow to dry. Add enough glue inside around fuse 3/8" thick and allow to dry upright (with fuse in a hole on the workbench). This step will reinforce the bottom to withstand the lift charge shock. Note; Before filling with composition, brush the inside of tube (with bottom discs glued in place) with Firefox Fire Retardant to discourage burning fallout or smoke can burnthrough. Discs can also be treated. Moisten with wheat paste and wrap 6 1/2" wide strip of kraft paper bag around tube (parallel). This leaves enough overlap to paste over end discs to close. Do so over the bottom disc, with or without time fuse, depending on application and glue the end cap on. Fill the tube with appropriate composition(s) or garnitures and close in the same manner. Apply more paste to outside and wrap on more kraft paper folding over the ends as before. The number of paper laps is just enough to effect a proper fit in the mortar tube. It should have 1/8" clearance on each side (1/4" total) for proper fit in mortar. They are fired from a 2" ID mortar. Smoke cans; Fuse can be added to the top end for smoke devices. Press moist smoke comp in place leaving a tapered core in the center to increase surface area of burn / smoke volume. Place a ring of glue around inside of tube and push a double disc punched with a 1/2" center hole in place leaving approx 1" of empty space from composition. Glue and dry. Fold paper strips over the edge and inside tube against discs to reinforce against pressure. Secure fuse in place with prime slurry and place an end cap over to finish. This cap is not glued in place and removed for use.

These are sold in sets. One set = two halves. Simply fill and glue halves together with methylene chloride or PVC cement. Do not use PVC cement to affix fuse in place! White (Elmers) or hide glue work best. Reinforce with several spirals of cloth type fiberglass tape.

FIBERGLASS CLOTH SHELL WRAP TAPE
Super strong, reinforced fiberglass cloth tape for spiral wrapping the glued / finished plastic shell. It is applied around the seam and in the opposite direction several wraps for strength. This increases shell integrity for better breaks and larger star patterns. A must for high quality shells. Note; this is not the limp variety found where packaging supplies are sold. This tape is many times stronger - fiberglass!
SOLVENT APPLICATORS - 2 OZ POLYEHTYLENE SQUEEZE BOTTLE
These reusable poly squeeze bottles have a long needle nose for precise placement of liquids like methylene chloride. The long nose applies the liquid right where you need it - in the seam of plastic spherical shell casings to "melt" and glue them together.
BOMBETTE PROJECTILE - AERIAL SHELL INSERT OR STAR GUN PROJECTILEL
This two piece (with cap) plastic shell is designed for use as an insert in larger aerial shells for special effects or shot from a star gun of 11/8" ID. Its design allows for a delay well for pressing a spolette with a flash hole to ignite the main charge of flash for thunder or small stars or mine mix for spectacular visual effects. The spolette well can be filled with color star compositions for color delay as well.
#5 CANISTER & #100 SPHERICAL SHELL CASINGS - AERIAL
The #5 canister set is the can plus lid with fuse hole. The #100 shell set is two spherical halves with fuse hole. #5 can fits #5 mortar CMT211 and the #100 shell fits #100 mortar CMT249. Use methylene chloride or PVC cement to glue shells together. Use white or hide glue to secure fuse.
