FIREFOX CYCLONE ELECTRIC MATCH - MODEL ROCKET & SPECIAL EFFECTS IGNITER
NON-EXPLOSIVE - NON-TOXIC! Our new “Cyclone” match has
features no other electric match has. Our special mineral/oxide element contains NO
HAZARDOUS PYROTECHNIC OXIDIZERS that create rapid/explosive combustion rates,
environmental and ingested toxicity, low heat sensitivity and special shipping regulations
yet they will ignite reliably using a 12 volt automotive battery and combust creating a
short burn in excess of 2000 DEGREES F! They are safer to use and cannot be accidentally
ignited by normal static electricity or strong CB or radio interference. Safer to store -
lacquer sealed conductive mineral elements are sealed in a poly barrier bag. Heat
stabilized - they will not ignite even at temperatures of 3500F. Resistance is 1.0

for a few pennies each using our pyrogen and any number of DC powered heating elements.
Simply solder nichrome wire, tinned copper wire or printed igniter "chips" to 22
or 24 gauge twin lead wire, dip in the pyrogen and use. The pyrogen comes in 1/2 oz
bottles that you mix a small amount of Acetone to make a thick batter for dipping - enough
for 50 to 90 igniters. Comes with instructions. Why pay over $1.00 each for commercial

These are the same as supplied with the composite rocket motor tooling listed above for phenolic cases. These kraft paper discs are used to center the coring spindle while curing and supply a permanent insulation barrier over exposed propellant grain thus constructing the bulkhead barrier. Simply epoxy the delay grain over the core spindle hole formed by the spindle and add chute activation charge. Also used to inhibit the nozzle end propellant grain to reduce surface area of burn, if desired.

Used as a mold release agent for casting proprllants, it is first applied to the coring spindle, casting mold, etc.. For stick free removal of cast propellants, plastics, epoxies, etc.. Also effectively eliminates foaming when added to composite propellants. 2 drops per 5 lb batch is all that is required. Large 2 oz bottle goes a long way, enough for hundreds of applications.

NOZZLE FORMING TOOL SETS - MOLDED GRAPHITE COMPOSITE ROCKET MOTORS
Machined from high carbon steel and aluminum, these tool sets offer the hobbyist
a means to make high heat & erosion resistant graphite composite nozzles for
use in higher combustion temp composite rocket motors and others. The sets
consist of a heavy wall carbon steel mold sleeve, base with divergence forming
cone and a ram which is completely adjustable according to the degree of erosion
and heat/gas resistance required. You can design and produce nozzles to burn out
slightly for core burning geometries or those that have little or no erosive
loss to retain full pressure during combustion for bates grain and moon burning
geometries, etc. Make 25 to 50 nozzles per hour for as little as $0.15 each!
Using a mixture of powdered graphite and other materials, you simply add a
measured amount of mix to the mold sleeve, compress to a mark on the ram and
eject. The more pressure used, the higher the density and the more erosion
resistant they are. Once you have several, they are cure baked in an oven and
drilled any diameter you need for the proper exhaust vent - fully adjustable for
pressure release! The sets produce nozzle pellets the diameters listed which are
shrink controlled by the oven heat. They are designed to fit the casings listed
for each but can be made to fit casings of similar size as well.

EPDM RUBBER - CHAMBER INSULATION
This thin rubber insulation is applied to the inner wall of the motor chamber to insulate the casing from the combustion heat generated during operation, thus increasing the life of reuseable casings and allowing adequate low cost materials to be used as expendable motors. CERAMIC & OTHER HIGH REFRACTORY POWDERS
The following refractories can be used for heat shielding and/or to make
plugs and exhaust vents (nozzles) in rocket motors, smoke devices, etc., etc.
They are listed in order according to thier heat resistance, with clay being the
lowest @ 2300°F and is used to make objects that are baked in an oven @
1600°F, forming the ceramic glass figurines. Grog is crushed ceramic
and/or silica 'grit' added to fire clay to add texture to the finished figurines or add the
"bite" necessary to hold nozzles in place when compressed within paper
casings as with black powder type rocket motors.
**REFRAC 6000 CASTABLE REFRACTORY Stock # REFRAC6
High temperature, high silica/alumina content with Andalusite for excellent resistance to thermal shock, pressure and abrasion from high performance rocket propellants that other ceramic materials lack. It is capable of resisting direct combustion gas heat to 3000° F (white hot) and indirect heat to approx 3500° F. For making nozzles, moisten slightly with water (or sodium silicate) and press in a forming die using hydraulic pressure @ 5000 psi or greater followed by baking at 500° F to remove all traces of moisture. The more pressure used to form, the higher the abrasion resistance will be to pressures and heat. They can be lathe cut for "O" rings or recessed for snap rings, etc.

CARBOSPHERES - CONDUCTIVE CARBON POWDER - HOLLOW MICROSPHERES
This specially developed, low density carbon powder was ordered by NASA for
the (now cancelled) New Advanced Space Shuttle Project. The material cost the
government well over $125.00 per pound and was never used. We have all 80 drums
@50 lbs net each. Although the manufacturer could give us no information on it's
application, they did tell us the material is pure carbon, low density (.198
g/cc), light weight, conductive powder of 99.7 wt % passing 50 mesh and
22.7 wt % passing 325 mesh. Capable of withstanding temperatures well in excess
of 4000°F and very lightweight, it should make excellent nozzles to increase
heat resistance and reduce both weight and abrasive wear on spindle. It may also
be used as a mold release agent (dry lubricant) in that it is "slick"
like it's older brother Graphite - yet lighter in weight. Also great for use in
conductive bridge-wireless electric igniters!! Can be milled to reduce particle
size if needed. Full 50 lb drums can be shipped by UPS.
