37/38mm INSERT RELOAD KIT - FOR COVER SMOKE, GROUND ILLUMINATION FLARE OR AERIAL STAR BURSTS
 This kit contains 10 3 1/4” long casings and enough end discs and plugs (pyrotechnics not included) to make 10 of any of the following; Cover smoke devices, ground illumination flares or aerial star bursts. Detailed, illustrated instructions outline how to make time fuses from ordinary safety fuse, step by step construction and give formulations for red, green and white flare compositions, formulae for various color stars and prime composition used and a formulation for fire retardant to treat the casings. Cover smoke devices use Firefox low heat white or color smoke compositions. The instruction booklet alone is worth the price of this kit.   ATFE manufacturing permit required to purchase.

CUSTOM LATHE TURNING – M212 CASES

We will turn your M212 cases to fit your particular 37/38mm launcher! Every make of launcher has a different chamber dimension. A better fit to your chamber adds up to longer case life. Simply use a micrometer to determine the exact inside diameter of your chamber, remove the rubber adhesive sealer (inside that seals the insert in place) from 100 M212 cases (minimum for lathe set-up) and send us the information with $5.00 per 25 return shipping for each 100 clean cases you send. We will lathe turn 25 cases to your chamber dimensions (plus a couple of thousandths for proper fit) and return them to you postage paid for your use. Your cost = $5.00 plus 75 cases in return for each 25 cases turned to fit your chamber. These cases usually sell for .20¢ each or less so your cost is approx. .80¢ each! This is substantially less than the $15.00 each that we have seen new unloaded 37mm cases being offered elsewhere!

M212 RELOAD TOOLING

This tool set includes instructions, an aluminum punch for removing the brass propellant cup and a 3/8” disc cutter to punch paper discs needed to close the priming/powder cup after reloading. Simply punch out the propellant cup, punch the primer out, replace with a small pistol primer, add the smokeless powder charge and close with a paper disc. This is then loaded back into the case for use.

These kits come with enough paper casings, end discs, plugs and instructions to produce ten M212 inserts (less pyrotechnics). The illustrated instruction booklet gives step by step details including formulations to make various pyrotechnic training, signaling or firework type devices. The inserts fit inside the M212 case so they will work whether they have been turned down to fit 37/38mm bores or not.
