Urea Hydrogen Peroxide (UHP), Carbamide Peroxide (CP) [CH6N2O3] granular
Stock# C199UHP
Synonyms; Carbamide Peroxide (CP), Hydrogen Peroxide Carbamide, Percarbamide, Urea Peroxide, Perhydrol-Urea. Carbon 12.77%, Hydrogen 6.43%, Nitrogen 29.78%, Oxidizer 51.02%. Laboratory uses include extemporaneous preparation of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) where it is dissolved in water (2.5 parts water) to yield 34-35% H2O2. Used extensively as a disinfecting and bleaching agent in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals and in drugs. Both hydrogen peroxide and urea are used as fertilizers and thus, so is UHP. USPTO # 5079868 (google it) lists information on using UHP in pesticides, fungicides and bactericides (killing bacteria, fungi, viruses, mites, insects, and other pests) and as a spray to keep crops and fruit from frost damage. Firefox is actively testing UHP for an alternative to conventional oxidizers for pyrotechnic and propellants manufacturing. Dissolves readily in water.
