White crystalline solid (oxidizer) used in pyrotechnics such as rocket propellants, flares, stars, and other mixtures for red flames. It has the highest oxygen to weight ratio of all perchlorates @ 60%. Also used as an electrolyte in lithium batteries. Soluble in both Water and Methanol. Dissolve in methanol for red alcohol lamp flames and "Ghost Mines". As an oxidizer, it is also used to coat pine cones, etc. that will burn vigorously with vibrant color. Simply dissolve in water and soak the pine cones, wood chips, etc.. Also sprinkled dry on campfires, etc. for red flame fire starter and campfire effects. Soluble in both water and alcohol for a variety of applications and compatible binders. No ATFE is required to purchase, no quantity restrictions.
